Job Highlights
About the Role
• Measure and mark materials using rulers, pencils, chalk, and marking gauges. • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws. • Install blocking, wood trim, and other finish components. • Verify structural accuracy and alignment using a plumb bob and level. • Perform framing work: measure, cut, hammer, screw, nail, level, square, plumb, pry, and clamp wood, lumber, and plywood. • Assemble and fasten materials to create frameworks or props using hand tools, screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. • Erect scaffolding and ladders for work above ground level. • Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment. • Keep the project site neat and orderly; stack and store materials properly, broom‑clean daily, and secure the site at the end of each day. • Occasionally assist with small asphalt roofing or concrete slab projects.
