About the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects from pre‑booking through closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and client communication to ensure successful delivery. The role coordinates internal teams and subcontractors, oversees forecasting, billing, change orders, and quality execution while maintaining strong client relationships and financial performance. This position requires close collaboration with engineering, sales, and service functions to deliver building‑automation and controls solutions. The role may involve on‑site work at customer locations, occasional lifting of up to 50 lb, and occasional work at heights above 1.8 m, as well as travel to project sites and limited overnight stays. Employees work in office environments that are clean, well‑lit, and ventilated, and must be able to communicate effectively in English. The position follows a standard Monday‑Friday schedule with possible overtime and on‑call duties. • Design Controls projects to meet scope of work and budget as defined by contract documents and sales estimate ensuring equipment compatibility. • Provide detailed sequence of operations. • Provide Visio labor and direction as required to complete submittals and other engineered drawings accurately and professionally. • Interpret project documents, estimate, and other information as available to select the proper equipment to achieve the scope of work required in the most economical and functional manner. • Accurately forecast necessary labor required to engineer a complete project and track this over time to achieve budget and forecast goals. • Recommend technical solutions to sales and operations. Constantly research outside purchase products. • Provide support to Bosch Building Technologies other contractors to solve building operating issues that go beyond the controls operation. • Communicate with internal employees as required to ensure engineering is accurate and timely. • Provide input to others as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation, value engineering, design, installation, start up, commissioning, and training for building systems. • Communicate with external organizations as required such as consulting engineers, building owners, and other contractors to ensure accurate and timely engineering. • Provide support for ongoing service engineering and support for existing building systems. • Complete Bill of Material for every project. • Suggest/recommend new products that provide better functionality and value to projects • Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, with or without BBT colleagues to manage the expectations and deliverables. Sites range from general office environments to new construction.

What You Bring

• Minimum of a high school diploma or related course work. • 2+ years of experience in HVAC, industrial or commercial instrumentation & controls, building systems, equipment systems, or related technical fields. • Proficiency in basic computer systems, including the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). • Proficiency in database management. • Ability to configure and debug basic computer problems along with basic building automation programming experience. • Experience designing, and engineering HVAC control systems, including developing sequence of operations and equipment selection. • Proficiency with reading and creating layout drawings to guide system installation (e.g., sensor locations, panel placement. • Ability to develop Bills of Material (BOM). • An understanding of Visio for BAS Design. • Familiarity with generating and managing RFIs (Requests for Information) to resolve design issues. • Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams. • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills on a high level and across teams. • Strong problem-solving abilities with empathy and the ability to address issues creatively to ensure customer and employee satisfaction. • Undergraduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related technical field. Experience in the BAS field can supersede a degree. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC, building automation. • Experience with Visio. • Understanding of HVAC operations, particularly within commercial or industrial facilities. • Experience maintaining or contributing to internal standards, libraries, or best practices for system design and engineering. • Background in both design and ongoing support/service engineering for installed building systems • Military training, on-the-job training programs, or other equivalent technical experience, as determined by local management. • In-depth knowledge of DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems used in building automation. • Expertise in integrating multiple building systems, including mechanical and electrical components. • Experience with advanced troubleshooting and extensive integration support for various building systems. • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers • Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment • Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet) • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated.
