About the Role

The Plant Maintenance Technician monitors and maintains all plant systems and equipment, including balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, pulleys, shafts, and bearings. The role must respond to system failures by taking corrective action and completing or assigning repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation. This position reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager. • Perform repairs following WM Safety, Life Critical Rules and OSHA regulations. • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment such as balers, conveyors, hydraulic packs, and motors. • Maintain Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) backlog. • Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and notify Sr. Plant Maintenance Manager of additional work or schedule constraints. • Inspect and evaluate quality of third‑party repairs or rebuilds. • Recommend improvements to production, equipment performance, and product quality. • Manage multiple priorities and respond to emergency breakdown service calls. • Work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed. • Keep work areas clean and safe in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include at least two years of relevant experience, being 18 years of age or older, and legal eligibility to work in the United States. Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodations and must successfully complete pre‑employment screening, including a drug screen and physical exam. The job operates both inside gas‑plant facilities and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and inclement weather.
