About the Role

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Design Phase Manager for the Data Center Solutions Group, capable of interacting with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. The role requires anticipating problems, creatively solving issues, and translating the owner’s vision into design solutions and construction parameters, leading the design process and team members, and potentially managing one large or two simultaneous projects. Travel flexibility is essential, with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time as project demands arise. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil/Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or related field. • Minimum six years of relevant experience. • Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities. • Detail‑oriented to manage multiple project tasks. • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices. • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project software, and web applications. • Positive, professional attitude with strong customer‑service skills. • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50%. • Solar or renewable energy experience preferred.

The base pay range for this role is $113,500 – $170,300, with location‑based adjustments, and compensation is determined by knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
