About the Role

The role involves installing, maintaining and operating wired, wireless, fiber optic and microwave telecommunications equipment, adhering to MasTec’s health, safety and environmental policies as well as industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS and ANSI. You will mentor less‑experienced technicians and perform other duties as assigned while maintaining high quality work. • Install, maintain and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment. • Climb towers and ladders to perform installations and inspections. • Erect various tower types, including monopoles, self‑support and guyed towers, using helicopters, cranes or gin poles. • Off‑load material, manage inventory and prepare/clean sites. • Install carriers on new builds and existing towers. • Assist with antenna installation for microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular and FM broadcast antennas. • Install transmission lines, coaxial, hardline and waveguide components. • Perform foundation, grounding and conduit installations, including electrical work where required. • Mentor junior technicians. • Follow MasTec safety, environmental and industry standards.

What You Bring

• Minimum high school diploma and at least 3 years of tower‑construction experience. • Ability to read and follow technical prints and instructions. • Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, ANSI) and possession of NWSA certification (preferred). • Physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hours per shift. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to quality and teamwork orientation.
