About the Role
The specialist will manage the end‑to‑end bid lifecycle, from initial enquiry to final submission, ensuring all technical, financial and project‑management components are accurately prepared. Responsibilities include defining suitable technology and product mixes, creating total price sheets and cash‑flow analyses, quantifying engineering and commissioning hours, and coordinating external services such as translations and governmental approvals. The role also involves documenting offers, archiving decisions, reporting bid status using defined tools, and analysing tender outcomes to drive continuous improvement. Risk identification and mitigation are integral to the position; the specialist will flag potential risks in bids and contracts and participate in the Risk Review process per Hitachi Energy policies. Additionally, the incumbent will source and evaluate vendors, collaborate with Supply Chain Management, and ensure compliance with all external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines. Maintaining and updating the IB database is also part of the duties. • Lead the full tendering cycle from enquiry to final submission for energy infrastructure projects. • Define appropriate technology and product mixes and prepare detailed technical specifications. • Produce total price sheets, cash‑flow analyses, and quantify engineering and commissioning hours. • Coordinate external services such as translations, governmental approvals and subcontractor requests. • Document proposals, archive assumptions, and generate regular bid status reports using defined tools. • Analyze tender outcomes and implement continuous improvement actions. • Identify, assess and mitigate risks in bids and contract agreements in line with company policy. • Source and evaluate vendors, ensuring offers meet technical specifications and collaborate with Supply Chain Management. • Ensure adherence to all external regulations, internal procedures and Hitachi Energy guidelines. • Maintain and update the internal IB database with accurate bid information. • Build and sustain effective customer relationships, providing technical support during sales interactions.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and possess 5–10 years of experience in EPC, high‑voltage or medium‑voltage product sales and tendering. Required skills include proficiency with sales/tendering tools, strong knowledge of the power‑grid market, ability to prepare competitive bids, conduct financial analysis, manage project‑related quantifications, and produce high‑quality documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication in English and strong customer‑relationship management abilities are essential. • Utilize sales/tendering software and demonstrate strong knowledge of the power‑grid market. • Deliver clear, professional communication in English across cross‑functional teams.
