About the Role

What You Bring
The role is for a Project Manager within the Bristol Defence Infrastructure business, supporting construction infrastructure projects and programmes across the South/South West and nationally. Candidates must be a sole UK national able to obtain and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC) due to the sensitive nature of the work. Given the complexity of the works, the position suits Project Managers with backgrounds in Defence, Rail, Water/Utilities or Highways and a proven understanding of the relevant processes. NEC accreditation is preferred, and the role involves handling commissions typically ranging from £1 million to £10 million, with larger values when supporting major projects. Candidates should have at least five years of experience focused on NEC contracts, with expertise in NEC/JCT/FIDIC contract administration, CDM/site health‑and‑safety knowledge, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills, self‑motivation and strategic problem‑solving abilities are essential. A degree in an infrastructure or construction‑related subject is required, with chartered or professional membership (ICE, APM, RICS, etc.) being preferred. The successful applicant must meet the security clearance requirements and be prepared for hybrid working, spending roughly 60% of time on client sites or Turner & Townsend offices, with travel as needed. • Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders through verbal, written and presentation skills. • Minimum 5 years’ experience on NEC contracts; NEC accreditation preferred. • Hold a degree in infrastructure or construction; chartered membership (ICE, APM, RICS) preferred. • Be a sole UK national able to obtain and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC).
