About the Role

The role is responsible for owning the quarterly and annual sales planning engine, aligning growth goals, segmentation, and coverage models. It drives input for the long‑range plan and the annual operating plan while producing executive‑ready materials for key forums. The position sits within Sales Strategy & Excellence and acts as a core member of the sales leadership cadence, coordinating cross‑functional strategic initiatives. Key duties include leading sales planning, collecting and synthesizing worldwide sales input, building executive‑ready presentations, and running the cadence for quarterly business planning, quarterly business review, annual operating plan, long‑range plan, and growth priority reviews. The role also surfaces risks, presents trade‑offs, and secures timely leadership decisions. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and making resource‑allocation decisions to maximize strategic outcomes. • Lead quarterly and annual sales planning, aligning growth goals, segmentation, coverage, and resource allocation. • Gather and synthesize global sales input for long‑range and annual operating plans; drive CRO review and approval. • Create executive‑ready presentations and manage cadence for QBP, QBR, AOP, LRP, and growth priority reviews. • Identify risks and trade‑offs, provide options and recommendations, and secure timely leadership decisions.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred) and have at least 10 years of experience in sales strategy, planning, and operations, with a minimum of five years in a leadership capacity. Required experience includes a proven track record of driving annual and quarterly sales planning processes in high‑growth, dynamic environments, preferably within technology or software companies. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong strategic and analytical thinking, excellent project‑management capabilities, and exceptional communication skills for developing executive‑level content. Deep understanding of sales segmentation and coverage models, as well as the ability to optimize these for performance, is essential, along with proficiency in managing shared analyst resources. Technical proficiency required includes advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), sales planning and analytics tools, and familiarity with CRM and ERP systems for informed decision‑making. • Require a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) and 10+ years of sales strategy/planning experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role. • Proven success in high‑growth technology or software environments. • Strong strategic, analytical, and project‑management skills; adept at executive communication and collaboration. • Experience optimizing sales segmentation and coverage models to drive performance. • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team and foster a culture of excellence. • Proficiency with sales planning/analytics tools, advanced Excel/PowerPoint, and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems.
