About the Role
The APAC L&D Associate Director’s role supports the design, implementation and management of learning initiatives that boost employee skills, performance and career growth across Asia. Reporting to the Associate Director, the position acts as a key link between HR and strategic business needs, identifying skill gaps, creating training materials, delivering programmes and evaluating their effectiveness. Key responsibilities include communicating and embedding the regional L&D strategy with senior HR leaders, developing a cohesive L&D offering across all disciplines and role levels, evaluating training effectiveness through feedback and ROI analysis, and tailoring global initiatives for the Asian market while maintaining internal databases. • Communicate regional L&D strategy with senior HR leaders across Asia. • Embed the L&D strategy throughout the Asian business to achieve optimal outcomes. • Develop a cohesive, structured L&D offering for all disciplines and role levels. • Evaluate training effectiveness using participant feedback and ROI tools. • Tailor and deploy global L&D initiatives for the Asia region, updating internal databases. • Design, deliver and assess learning programs that build capability and drive performance. • Create engaging training, e‑learning and blended learning materials for diverse audiences. • Build strong relationships and collaborate with leaders, teams and external providers. • Manage Learning Management Systems and leverage analytics to report learning outcomes. • Support organisational change through learning interventions that build readiness. • Apply strong analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements. • Utilise digital learning technologies, virtual platforms and innovative remote/hybrid delivery methods. • Manage multiple L&D projects, priorities and timelines while maintaining quality. • Administer reporting, organise tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of HR/L&D concepts, proven experience designing, delivering and assessing learning programs, and the ability to create engaging training, e‑learning and blended solutions for diverse audiences. Strong stakeholder management, LMS administration, data‑driven analytics, change‑management support, digital learning expertise, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and timelines are essential, along with excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills. Candidates should hold a professional qualification in Training & Assessment, Administration or Human Resources (preferred) and have at least eight years of experience, with three to five recent years in a senior L&D role within large, complex organisations. A deep understanding of Asian cultural nuances and experience working in cross‑matrix environments are required. The role is within the Business Support department, and Turner & Townsend maintains a strict policy against any recruitment fees. • Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats to influence diverse stakeholders. • Hold a professional qualification in Training & Assessment, Administration or HR (preferred). • Minimum 8 years’ experience, with 3–5 recent years in L&D within large, complex organisations. • Demonstrate cultural insight into Asian work practices and experience in cross‑matrix organisations.
