About the Role
The role provides leadership on all aspects of regulatory strategy related to PSCo’s revenue, cost recovery, and resource transition proceedings. You will direct the development and execution of regulatory case filings in each assigned jurisdiction and serve as an expert witness in regulatory hearings. Outreach efforts and stakeholder relationship building are also key components of the position. In this capacity you will guide regulatory teams to deliver timely and consistent rate cases, manage filing schedules, and craft strategies that maximize cost recovery while supporting the company’s broader goals. Maintaining strong relationships with regulators, executing targeted outreach programs, and advising senior leadership on energy policy are central to success. What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BA/BS degree and bring at least ten years of experience in utility regulation, rate‑case execution, and compliance. A deep understanding of financial principles, cost‑recovery mechanisms, and regulatory finance is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple concurrent dossiers across jurisdictions. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and proactive decision‑making skills are required to thrive in fast‑paced regulatory settings. • BA/BS degree required. • Minimum of 10 years experience in utility regulation and rate‑case execution. • Expert knowledge of utility industry, regulatory compliance, and cost‑recovery mechanisms. • Strong understanding of financial principles and regulatory finance. • Experience managing multiple concurrent rate cases and regulatory portfolios. • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and management skills. • Proactive decision‑making in fast‑paced regulatory environments. • Proficiency in regulatory and financial analytical modeling (e.g., revenue requirement models, cost‑of‑service studies, scenario analysis).
