About the Role

The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the servicing of both company‑owned and customer equipment, ensuring timely repairs, maintenance, and availability. In this entrepreneurial role you will plan work schedules, handle service calls, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with vendors to meet operational goals. The position also includes training mechanics, evaluating equipment after service, and addressing customer concerns. • Leverage current skills while developing new ones • Manage repair and maintenance of company and customer equipment, including yard organization • Prepare work schedules and respond to service calls to ensure equipment availability • Order parts to maintain adequate supplies • Train and assist staff mechanics • Collaborate with vendors to learn maintenance requirements for new inventory • Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance, or safety checks • Document equipment status before and after rental • Address customer complaints about equipment condition or operation • Promote safety awareness • Conduct quality control checks • Maintain organized equipment service records • Create, update, close, and bill work orders • File warranty claims promptly • Commission new equipment • Perform parts inventory, including ordering and returns • Dispose of solid and hazardous waste (batteries, oil, filters, antifreeze, sludge) • Generate service reports (service due, fleet status, work orders, warranty claims, inventory, financial summaries, foreman performance, chargebacks, PO status, labor hours)

What You Bring
