About the Role

The IT Controller II provides financial leadership and governance across IT portfolios, combining strategic oversight with operational accountability. This role ensures compliance with corporate policy, GAAP, and regulatory requirements while delivering forward‑looking insights to IT and Finance leadership. IT Controllers own end‑to‑end portfolio financials and serve as both financial stewards and talent developers. They ensure high‑quality reporting, effective controls, and strong decision support across the organization. • Lead portfolio‑level financial governance and ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate, and regulatory standards (e.g., FERC). • Provide strategic insights for investment prioritization, risk management, and long‑term financial planning. • Manage forecasting, accruals, journal entries, variance analysis and ensure timely, accurate portfolio financials. • Conduct trend and scenario analyses, develop business cases, and support funding requests. • Benchmark performance against peer utilities and Fortune 500 companies. • Mentor Portfolio Coordinators and junior finance staff, fostering financial acumen and best‑practice adoption.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include at least seven years of operational experience with IT‑related business controls or processes, a bachelor’s degree in technology, science, business or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and the ability to articulate core business and technology processes. Strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and relationship‑management skills are required. • Communicate executive‑level financial results clearly and consistently. • Minimum 7 years experience in IT‑related business controls or processes. • Bachelor’s degree in technology, science, business or equivalent experience. • Strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills. • Proven ability to drive consensus and collaborate across functions.
