Handyperson for diverse internal/external repairs and maintenance in East London social housing.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The Handyperson will work on a residential housing contract in East and South East London, carrying out a variety of internal and external repairs. Internal duties may include hanging doors, fitting skirting boards, basic plumbing, minor electrical work, wall repairs, kitchen cabinet installation, and vinyl flooring. External duties cover masonry on walls or steps, slab laying, fence erection, glazing, gutter and gully cleaning, roofing work at height, and related tasks. • Perform internal repairs: hang doors, fit skirting boards, conduct basic plumbing, minor electrical tasks, repair walls, install kitchen cabinets, lay vinyl flooring. • Carry out external work: masonry on walls/steps, lay slabs, erect fences, replace glass, clean gutters/gullies, perform roofing and guttering repairs at height. • Conduct lift, fire‑door, emergency lighting, and water‑hygiene inspections. • Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to health and safety standards.

What You Bring
Candidates must have previous building maintenance experience, preferably with carpentry and within the social housing sector, excellent customer service skills, and a full, valid UK driving licence. Normal working hours are 08:00‑17:30, Monday to Friday. • Possess prior building maintenance experience, preferably carpentry, within social housing or similar sectors. • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
