About the Role

The Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers for permanent commercial and industrial waste services in an assigned territory, while also increasing penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products. The role involves building long‑term customer loyalty, mastering the company’s service portfolio and pricing, executing contract renewals, handling cancellations according to policy, supporting pricing initiatives, documenting all sales activities in Salesforce, and collaborating with operations to resolve service issues. Regular reviews with the Sales Manager and participation in community events enhance visibility and performance. • Maintain and grow existing commercial/industrial waste customer relationships. • Sell the full suite of Republic Services products to increase account penetration. • Master service offerings, pricing structures, and identify cross‑sell opportunities. • Execute contract renewals to extend relationships and improve profitability. • Handle cancellation requests per escalation policy. • Communicate pricing initiatives and respond to customer inquiries promptly. • Record all sales activities (calls, meetings, proposals) in Salesforce daily. • Capture customer emails, minimize rate restrictions, and manage credits. • Meet weekly with Sales Manager to review retention targets and key accounts. • Collaborate with operations team to resolve service issues. • Represent the company at trade shows, chambers of commerce, and community events.
