Structural Coordinator
Coordinate submittals, constructability, and stakeholder interfaces for large projects
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Manage and track construction submittals (shop drawings, RFIs, MAR) for completeness and conformance. • Coordinate with Architectural and MEP teams to resolve interfaces, penetrations, sleeves, and blockouts. • Conduct constructability reviews, identify challenges, and provide technical solutions. • Prepare reports, scopes of work, RFIs, and other technical correspondence. • Interface with vendors, subcontractors, designers, and clients to complete assigned tasks. • Support site inspections to verify compliance, quality, and adherence to IFC standards. • Assist the site team with temporary design coordination. • Create and maintain trackers for submittals and issues, driving them to closure. • Lead or participate in coordination meetings, documenting minutes. • Provide technical input to internal departments as needed. • Foster communication and collaboration aligned with the project charter values (TRAIT).

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. • Demonstrate proven experience in construction and design coordination on large-scale projects. • Possess strong understanding of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and architectural/MEP interfaces. • Experience reviewing drawings, RFIs, 3D models, and working within CDE environments. • Exhibit effective communication, organization, and documentation skills. • Metrolink infrastructure project experience is considered an asset.
