About the Role
In this hybrid role you will join the System Acceptance Test (SAT) team, collaborating on embedded firmware projects for renowned brands such as DEWALT®, BLACK+DECKER®, and CRAFTSMAN®. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality software releases for embedded devices. • Review requirements, specifications, and design documents and provide timely feedback • Create detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex projects • Identify, record, and track bugs using tools such as Jira • Monitor debugging results and investigate causes of non‑conforming software • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts with open‑source tools • Implement test processes and continuous improvement plans • Test firmware in Embedded C for embedded devices using a real‑time operating system • Use CAN, I2C, UART, SPI, and networking protocols (TCP/UDP) in testing • Develop on microcontroller/motor controller platforms using Java scripting, Python, or HTML • Work with project tracking tools like Jira, GitHub, Microsoft TFS/Azure • Participate in volunteerism, community giving, and sustainable business practices
