About the Role
As a Production Engineer you will be responsible for assembling new products and for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of customer‑owned equipment. The position requires strong mechanical knowledge, a focus on safety, and the ability to collaborate on process improvements while working effectively within a team. Key duties include performing maintenance and repair on series 1600 and 4000 applications according to manuals, assisting in the assembly of 199 and 2000 applications, and troubleshooting and diagnosing engine or component issues. You will conduct inspections and cleaning, identify cost‑reduction and efficiency opportunities, and work with the lean team to implement improvements. Additional tasks involve using special tools and measuring equipment, completing process documentation, complying with health‑and‑safety regulations, maintaining shop‑floor cleanliness, and operating plant machinery safely. You must maintain a monthly utilization rate of 85 % or higher and manage tickets by accurately recording material and labour hours, prioritising C4S tickets before engines and powerpacks depart. What You Bring
The minimum qualification is an NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance/Engineering, accompanied by a strong technical background, basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify savings and efficiency gains. Essential personal attributes are teamwork, accountability, attention to cleanliness, reliable machinery operation and computer literacy on both Windows and iOS platforms. Preferred requirements include fluent written and spoken English, full clean driving licence, UK passport, and experience with forklift/tow‑truck or crane operation (training will be provided). • NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance/Engineering with strong technical background. • Proficient in basic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and computer use (Windows/iOS). • Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and attention to cleanliness. • Fluent in written and spoken English; hold a full clean driving licence and UK passport. • Preferable experience with forklift/tow‑truck or crane operation (training provided).
