About the Role

The QTL‑Crew 1 UP at AAON is responsible for ensuring unit standards for quality and productivity in the manufacturing of HVAC equipment. This role involves overseeing the proper assembly and installation of components such as EVAP coils, compressors, filter racks, blowers, condensers, and control boards, while adhering to specifications for voltage, brazing, and charging procedures. Key duties include training team members to assemble sub‑assembly components accurately and efficiently, maintaining up‑to‑date unit schedules and quality procedures, and scheduling production time to meet targets. The incumbent prints and verifies work order packets, confirms the availability of required parts, and approves paperwork for sub‑assemblies and end‑of‑line checks, ensuring all documentation is signed off by Quality Team Leaders. Additional functions require completing AAON’s Quality Team Leader program, demonstrating leadership and motivational skills to keep employees engaged, and providing problem‑solving assistance. The role also involves building relationships, cooperating with team members, maintaining satisfactory attendance, working variable schedules and overtime as assigned, and complying with all company policies. • Ensure unit quality and productivity standards. • Inspect proper assembly and installation of components. • Train team members on accurate sub‑assembly procedures. • Maintain up‑to‑date production schedules and quality procedures. • Print, verify, and confirm work order packets. • Confirm availability of required parts and components. • Approve sub‑assembly and end‑of‑line paperwork. • Enforce warehouse safety and housekeeping standards. • Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed. • Provide production backup support when required. • Complete AAON’s Quality Team Leader (QTL) program. • Offer problem‑solving assistance for production issues. • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members. • Adhere to attendance, variable schedules, and overtime assignments. • Meet physical demands of standing, lifting, and operating equipment.

What You Bring

Applicants must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent; further education is advantageous. Essential knowledge, skills, and abilities include the capacity to perform each job function satisfactorily, assess work accuracy and quality, and communicate effectively in written and spoken English. Physical demands include standing still for most of the shift, moving objects up to 25‑50 pounds, operating heavy equipment and tools, performing repetitive wrist and hand motions, and navigating ladders, stairs, tight spaces, and a manufacturing environment with humidity, loud noise, dirt, and extreme temperatures.
