About the Role
The Assembler Tester’s main purpose is to assemble and test pneumatic, hydraulic and fuel valves, couplings and other equipment, ensuring parts are produced within specific cycle times to aerospace quality standards and meet fit, form and function. The role requires observing health and safety and COSHH procedures while assembling in conjunction with engineering drawings and company procedures, including drilling and locking. The assembler follows production acceptance test schedules using a variety of test media such as oil, water, kerosene and Skydrol, and accurately completes paperwork including test reports. Cross‑training is available to cover all team functions. • Assemble and test pneumatic, hydraulic, and fuel valves, couplings, and related equipment. • Follow health, safety, and COSHH procedures during assembly. • Interpret engineering drawings and perform drilling and locking tasks. • Conduct production acceptance tests using oil, water, kerosene, and Skydrol. • Complete accurate test reports and related paperwork. • Participate in cross‑training to cover all team functions.

What You Bring
Experience of assembly, drilling and fitting skills, as well as using engineering drawings and associated terminology, is advantageous. Previous experience in a similar aerospace environment and familiarity with basic measurement techniques and appropriate equipment are also beneficial. A reasonable level of computer literacy and GCSE or equivalent in English and maths is preferred. • Possess assembly, drilling, and fitting experience and basic measurement skills. • Have prior aerospace environment experience and understand engineering terminology. • Demonstrate computer literacy with GCSE (or equivalent) in English and mathematics.
