About the Role
The Maintenance Technician A works under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, performing repair and maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. The role supports drivers on a single fleet equipped with state‑of‑the‑art technology. • Repair chassis components and perform maintenance. • Service refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and air/hydraulic brakes. • Conduct engine repair and maintenance. • Maintain suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. • Service heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning components. • Perform line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. • Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools. • Complete required company training programs. • Inspect and repair heavy‑duty trucks without supervision across multiple systems.

What You Bring
Key responsibilities include advanced knowledge and skill proficiency to execute complex repairs both on‑site and on the road, covering chassis, refuse bodies (control, hydraulic, electrical), air and hydraulic brakes, engine work, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and line‑maintenance welding and fabrication, as well as diagnosing faults with electronic tools and completing required company training. Candidates must have at least three years of heavy‑duty truck technician experience and be capable of performing inspections and repairs independently across systems such as suspensions, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions. ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications, LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B (or higher) commercial driver’s license are advantageous but not mandatory. • Minimum of 3 years experience as a heavy‑truck technician. • ASE Heavy‑Truck Certifications (T1‑T8) – optional. • LNG/CNG experience – optional. • Class B (or higher) commercial driver’s license – optional. • Valid driver’s license required.
