About the Role
The role supports the Millwright by assisting in planning, layout, and execution of mechanical equipment setting, installation, alignment, and maintenance, following all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The employee may also work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as directed by project supervision. The position requires taking direction from a higher‑skilled worker or foreman. Physical work may extend up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, requiring climbing, balancing on steel or wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. Employees must frequently lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb, use hands for grasping and handling, and be able to wear required personal protective equipment. The role also involves moving through confined, cluttered, and uneven areas while reaching above shoulder height and below the waist regularly. • Maintain positive working relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively. • Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for tasks. • Identify improvement opportunities and learn from others. • Learn and follow all safety hazards related to the work. • Apply effective math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). • Safely operate work‑related tools and equipment. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transport, storage, and time. • Seek supervisor guidance when uncertain about safety practices. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. • Climb and balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb on an occasional basis.

What You Bring
• 1–2 years experience in industrial/commercial construction. • NCCER Core Curriculum and/or high school diploma preferred. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Frequent use of hands for grasping, lifting, handling, and carrying. • Wear required personal protective equipment (steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.). • Navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven work areas; reach above shoulder and below waist frequently; stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.
