About the Role

The Accounting Assistant will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative team, supporting the full project lifecycle alongside Project Accountants. Responsibilities include preparing and sending monthly invoices, monitoring accounts receivable, processing accounts payable and overhead invoices, evaluating incoming payments, performing data entry, reviewing client contracts, and providing general accounting support. • Support Project Accountants with internal and external client requests. • Prepare and send monthly invoices, including expense backup and timesheet details. • Monitor, follow up, and collect accounts receivable balances. • Process accounts payable, overhead invoices, check requests, and vendor inquiries. • Evaluate incoming payments for proper cash application. • Perform data entry into internal and external accounting systems. • Review client contracts to ensure accurate project setup and manage electronic documents. • Provide general accounting support as needed. • Multi‑task and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. • Contribute to retirement plan with 2‑to‑1 match and profit‑sharing. • Take advantage of flexible scheduling, floating holidays, and half‑day Fridays. • Utilize family‑friendly programs such as new‑parent leave and childcare resources.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and 1+ year of accounting experience or coursework. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; Deltek CostPoint is a plus. The role demands professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, multitasking ability, deadline orientation, and effective oral and written communication. • Demonstrate professionalism, strong people skills, and effective teamwork. • Communicate clearly both orally and in writing. • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite; Deltek CostPoint proficiency is a plus.
