About the Role
• Complete site visits within assigned market. • Take legible field notes for aerial, buried, underground, and building construction drawings. • Analyze work sites and design requests to determine project scope. • Deliver projects on schedule while ensuring quality. • Communicate concerns and updates with the OSP Designer. • Represent Byers and clients professionally with internal and external customers. • Follow all company safety practices and policies. • Produce clear, handwritten field notes. • Work outdoors in various weather conditions and remotely when off‑site. • Dress appropriately and meet on‑site safety standards.

What You Bring
Candidates should have a high school diploma (technical school or community college coursework is a plus), be authorized to work in the U.S., and possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Desired skills include knowledge of telecom, fiber, and outside plant concepts, experience with utilities or construction, strong communication abilities, good penmanship for hand‑drawn notes, and proficiency with basic computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Dropbox. The position requires local candidates who can work outdoors in varying weather conditions and meet customer schedules. • Understand telecom, fiber, and outside plant concepts (preferred). • Apply experience with utilities, cabling, or construction. • Communicate effectively with diverse teams. • Use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Dropbox. • Hold a high school diploma; technical school or community college coursework is a plus. • Maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. • Be authorized to work in the United States. • Adapt to industry trends through ongoing education.
