About the Role
The Assembly Technician assembles, wires, and modifies medium and high voltage assemblies, including indoor/outdoor units, breaker compartments, power modules, and related sub‑assemblies. The role requires interpreting manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and verbal or written instructions from supervisors or team leads to follow established procedures. Technicians complete ISO, quality, and customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists to support supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering. Daily tasks include mounting and installing electrical equipment, performing wire operations, lifting heavy copper components, reporting Kanban inventory shortages, and inspecting assemblies for missing hardware or cleanliness. The position also involves responding to change notices, customer‑requested adjustments, and development needs while assisting engineering and drafting on customer‑initiated projects. Technicians are expected to train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development. • Assemble, wire, and modify medium/high voltage assemblies and related sub‑assemblies. • Interpret manufacturing data, electrical/mechanical drawings, sketches, and supervisor instructions. • Complete ISO, quality, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists. • Mount and install electrical equipment; perform wiring operations. • Lift and assemble heavy copper parts; report Kanban inventory shortages. • Inspect assemblies for loose or missing hardware and ensure cleanliness. • Respond to change notices, customer adjustments, and development requirements. • Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer‑initiated development work. • Train and coach colleagues to facilitate knowledge transfer and skill development. • Utilize hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes in a Lean environment.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of industrial manufacturing experience, and be able to use hand and air tools. The role requires strong verbal and written communication, analytical problem‑solving, and the ability to work flexible hours and overtime. Applicants must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship and reside within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC, unless they are active‑duty military.
