About the Role

The role includes direct product training and access to digital and physical tools; Schneider provides service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops for daily work. Typical duties involve pre‑site preparation, equipment startup, repairs, preventive maintenance, field modifications, troubleshooting with customers and internal teams, completing service and expense reports, and ongoing product training. Additional responsibilities may include assisting senior technicians, supporting project managers on large system start‑ups, collaborating with other FSRs on complex projects, and acting for the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues. • Perform equipment assembly, startup, diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and field modifications on both Schneider and third‑party products. • Troubleshoot issues collaboratively with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and district service teams. • Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive‑maintenance logs, and startup data sheets. • Assist senior technicians and support project managers on large system start‑ups and complex projects. • Travel regionally and occasionally nationwide, including overnight stays, to provide customer support. • Maintain safety compliance (lock‑out/tag‑out, hazard reporting, NFPA‑70E/OSHA standards) and safe vehicle operation. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and operation manuals. • Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve equipment issues. • Write clear service reports, correspondence, and procedures; effectively present information to customers.

What You Bring

Candidates should have an associate degree, trade certification, military training, or equivalent electrical experience, be able to read blueprints and schematics, understand AC/DC power principles, and possess at least two years of field service or UPS‑related repair experience. Safety is essential; applicants must follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, report hazards, have NFPA‑70E or OSHA familiarity, possess safe driving skills, and be able to use diagnostic equipment. The job requires physical stamina, including lifting up to 40 lb, bending, stooping, working in extreme weather, standing for long periods, and entering confined spaces. • Meet physical demands such as lifting up to 40 lb, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in extreme weather or confined spaces. • Associate degree, trade/vocational certification, military training, or equivalent electrical‑related experience. • Minimum 2 + years of field service repair or UPS, power distribution, switchgear, ATS, or related equipment experience. • Ability to read blueprints/schematics and understand AC/DC power principles. • Good safety practices, lock‑out/tag‑out knowledge, and experience with NFPA‑70E or OSHA preferred. • Safe driving record and proficiency with diagnostic tools. • Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and customer interaction.
