About the Role
The Risk & Compliance team oversees Risk Management, Business Continuity, Corporate Security, Ethics and Compliance, and Investigations. This internship focuses on the Risk Management function, which manages the company’s global property and casualty insurance programs and provides exposure to underwriting information and global risk issues. Interns will enhance the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) with data quality, reporting, and dashboard analytics, assist with global insurance program renewals, and update intranet sites for Risk Management, Corporate Security, and Business Continuity. Additional responsibilities include data analysis, reviewing insurance data sources, researching global risk issues, testing documentation processes, and handling ad‑hoc projects. • Enhance the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) with data quality, reporting, and dashboard analytics. • Assist with global insurance program renewals, handling pre‑ and post‑renewal tasks. • Update and improve Risk Management, Corporate Security, and Business Continuity intranet sites. • Analyze data files, provide insights, and recommend improvements for stakeholder information sharing. • Review data sources for insurance renewals and deliver quantitative exposure comparisons. • Research global risk issues and present findings through documentation and presentations. • Test documentation and reporting processes. • Undertake ad‑hoc projects as assigned. • Network and collaborate with fellow interns; attend executive speaker series, networking events, and shark‑tank presentations.

What You Bring
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited university and expect to graduate between May 2026 and May 2027, with the ability to work full‑time for the entire summer internship. Preferred skills include experience with Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar data tools, strong written and verbal communication in English, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The role requires analytical drive, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. • Currently enrolled in an accredited university, graduating May 2026–May 2027. • Experience with Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar data tools (preferred). • Prior risk‑management or insurance brokerage internship experience (a plus). • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude to learn new internal tools. • Detail‑oriented, analytically driven, capable of producing accurate reports and presentations. • Potential to secure a full‑time role at Equinix after graduation.
