About the Role

• Interpret blueprints, layout plans, vendor manuals, and schematics to determine work procedures. • Dismantle machines using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and crowbars. • Move machinery and equipment with hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. • Assemble and install equipment like shaffing, conveyors, and tram rails using cranes and power tools. • Construct machine foundations using hand tools and materials such as wood, cement, and steel. • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, micrometers, and plumb bobs. • Apply knowledge of optical and laser alignment techniques. • Fasten machines to foundations or structures by bolting, welding, or riveting with hand and power tools. • Operate an engine lathe to grind, file, and turn parts to dimensional specifications. • Install robots and modify their programs using a teach pendant. • Use transit and level devices for equipment setting. • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. • Perform lubricating maintenance, cleaning, or repair of tools, machines, and equipment. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems. • Follow logical, step‑by‑step procedures. • Plan work and select appropriate tools. • Compare size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects. • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings. • Make decisions based on measurable criteria. • Operate machinery safely.

What You Bring

Journeyman – Typically three years or more documented field experience in the chosen craft discipline, with the ability to read and interpret instructions and independently document, plan, and perform work activities. Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in establishments. A high school diploma or equivalent with prior experience may be required. Candidates possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, rely on instructions and pre‑established guidelines, and work under immediate supervision, reporting to a supervisor or manager.
