About the Role
The Los Angeles plant employs about 250 people and designs, develops, manufactures, and delivers aerospace hydraulic components and systems for global aftermarket and OEM markets. The EHS Technician implements and maintains OSHA, RCRA, EPA, and DOT regulatory requirements, works daily with engineers and technicians, and supports the facility’s cadence goals while meeting environmental, health, and safety objectives. Key responsibilities include managing contractor safety documentation, conducting weekly security inspections, overseeing compliance with safety programs such as hazard communication, fall protection, LOTO, and chemical management, and performing on‑site hazard identification and correction. The technician also handles hazardous and non‑hazardous waste management, monitors waste accumulation areas, orders and maintains spill response supplies, and assists with campus‑wide projects and maintenance programs.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of hands‑on EHS experience. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the Los Angeles site, be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR, and will not be offered relocation. Preferred qualifications include experience with safety plans, equipment training, emergency response, Windows/Office, basic HVAC/R and construction knowledge. • High school diploma or equivalency certificate. • Minimum of 2+ years of hands‑on technician experience in an environment, health and safety role. • Must reside within a 50‑mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039); relocation not offered. • Position requires access to ITAR‑controlled information; applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR. • Experience with health and safety plans and policies. • Experience with scaffolding, cranes, forklifts, boom & scissor lifts, lifting straps/slings, and fall protection equipment. • Experience with emergency response crews for hazardous and non‑hazardous material releases. • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R, concrete, framing, and industrial gas trade. • Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods.

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Technician for its Los Angeles, CA facility. The role offers an hourly rate of $23.60‑$35.40 for a first‑shift schedule of 7:30 am‑4:00 pm. Salary is determined by skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.
