About the Role
The Direct Sales Consultant role focuses on identifying sales leads and delivering in‑home presentations of Sunrun’s solar products and services. The consultant’s primary goal is to build genuine human connections, qualify homeowners, and position solar as a viable energy solution for their families. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy face‑to‑face interaction and field work. Consultants develop self‑generated sales strategies, set appointments, and provide an industry‑leading customer experience from initial contact through system activation. They conduct in‑home sales presentations, evaluate customer knowledge and needs, and maintain the sales pipeline by following up on leads and recording outcomes in the CRM. Meeting minimum sales targets set by leadership is a key performance metric. • Generate self‑generated sales leads and set appointments with potential customers. • Conduct in‑home presentations on solar products, assess customer needs, and build lasting relationships. • Manage the sales pipeline from prospect through installation, logging activities in the CRM. • Meet or exceed minimum sales targets set by leadership.

What You Bring
Successful candidates have at least one year of sales or lead‑generation experience, with in‑home sales preferred, and must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for cross‑functional collaboration, and applicants should be comfortable using an iPad, computer, and multiple software applications, including a CRM. • Possess at least 1 year of sales or lead‑generation experience; in‑home sales experience preferred. • Be 21+, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and pass a background check. • Communicate effectively and collaborate cross‑functionally to address customer needs. • Travel within the local market as required and comfortably use iPad/computer and software tools.
