About the Role

The selected engineer will handle site development engineering and project management tasks, including civil design, permitting, and the use of hydrology modeling, storm drainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D software. Responsibilities also cover research, coordination, cost estimating, staff management, preparation of bid packages, technical specifications, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions, supported by on‑the‑job training and mentorship. • Perform site civil design and develop storm drainage systems using AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology modeling tools. • Manage project permitting, land disturbance approvals, and prepare bid packages with technical specifications. • Conduct research, coordinate with stakeholders, and estimate project costs. • Lead staff, provide mentorship, and support project financial tracking and client communication. • Obtain or maintain Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification within 12 months. • Utilize family‑friendly policies such as new parent leave, childcare resources, and family‑building benefits.

Candidates must have at least two years of experience with a civil engineering design firm, a B.S. or M.S. from an ABET‑accredited university, and be certified as an Engineer‑in‑Training (or able to obtain it within 12 months). Required skills include proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong verbal and written communication, urgency, self‑initiative, detail orientation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Hold 2+ years experience in civil engineering design and a B.S./M.S. from an ABET‑accredited program. • Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Exhibit urgency, self‑initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
