Job Highlights
About the Role
• Advise on procurement strategies, contract selection and produce procurement reports. • Provide technical/functional advice using value management techniques at project outset. • Deliver estimating and cost planning, owning and presenting the final cost plan. • Drive the full procurement process – prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation. • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships. • Supervise preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licences. • Measure project valuations and manage cost checking and valuation work. • Produce cost control and reporting services for stakeholders. • Manage costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges. • Implement continuous process improvements and transformational change. • Oversee evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs. • Issue certificates of making good defects and final completion per requirements. • Manage certificates of practical completion and negotiate final accounts. • Lead large team(s), drive behaviours, KPIs and a continuous‑improvement culture. • Provide performance management, technical and career development, and coaching. • Collaborate on net‑zero carbon transition, identifying and managing associated emissions.

What You Bring

These site‑based roles embed you in highly skilled, multidisciplinary teams where you will handle commercial support tasks such as monthly pay applications, change‑order reviews, financial reporting and on‑the‑ground decision making, in locations ranging from mountain‑rimmed outdoor lifestyles to vibrant college towns. • Hold a degree in quantity surveying or cost management (or equivalent). • Possess professional membership (e.g., MRICS/RICS) and progress toward fellowship. • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of contract forms and contractual frameworks. • Experience with Capex/OpEx cost analysis, value engineering and life‑cycle costing. • Strong understanding of contract law and construction contracts. • Sector expertise supported by technical qualifications or certifications for project portfolios. • Confidence to advise on contract administration and management.
