About the Role
Core duties include defining project guidelines, allocating tasks, and motivating internal and external resources to meet milestones. The role involves creating scope, financial, schedule and risk plans with Project Controls, overseeing execution, monitoring progress, financials, risk, and ensuring formal project close‑out. Contract, claims and procurement activities are managed in line with company policies, and the manager serves as the primary customer liaison. • Define project guidelines, allocate tasks, and motivate internal and external resources. • Develop scope, financial, schedule, and risk management plans with Project Controls. • Ensure project execution follows best practices and Hitachi Energy Ireland policies. • Monitor progress, resource utilization, invoicing, costs, and cash flow. • Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks and opportunities. • Capture lessons learned and manage formal project close‑out. • Apply contract and claims management according to company policies. • Coordinate procurement of services, materials, and equipment with Supply Chain. • Act as primary customer contact and escalation point for project issues. • Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline and have at least five years of project‑management experience, preferably within the energy sector. They must possess strong knowledge of project‑management methodologies, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field. • Minimum 5 + years of project‑management experience, preferably in the energy sector. • Strong knowledge of project‑management methodologies and tools. • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities. • Ability to influence policies, practices, and procedures.
