Job Highlights
About the Role
The incumbent will oversee inventory purchases, maintain ownership records, and coordinate strategy alignment to meet service targets and cost objectives. • Facilitates and executes inventory strategy alignment, ensuring service levels, inventory turns, performance, best cost determination, and supplier alignment. • Works with account managers and inside sales to identify new opportunities, develop sales solutions, close deals, and negotiate pricing. • Establishes and maintains appropriate local supplier relationships. • Forecasts inventory needs for suppliers and sets appropriate inventory minimum/maximum levels. • Responsible for resolution of aged or damaged inventory.

What You Bring
The position requires strong problem‑solving abilities to identify core barriers and develop creative solutions for complex situations. Work is performed primarily in a comfortable indoor setting with most time spent seated and occasional movement to handle light items. Travel is minimal, generally under ten percent, and the role can be remote or hybrid, with candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones preferred; those near Atlanta may work two days per week at the Doraville Field Support Center. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5‑8 years of relevant experience (or a master’s degree with 3‑5 years) are required, along with any necessary certifications. Preferred qualifications include advanced Excel, strong communication and negotiation skills, prior commodities purchasing experience, and knowledge of long‑steel products, lumber, or panels. • Understands competitive landscape and utilizes intelligence to secure strongest purchases.
