About the Role

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Planner role is to develop and prepare detailed work packages for the Clean Energy Center (CEC) maintenance teams, ensuring work is performed safely, reliably, and efficiently while meeting QA manuals, company policies, and applicable codes and standards. In this position the planner coordinates with multiple internal groups, manages permit and regulatory documentation, verifies compliance with nuclear and engineering standards, and supports project management activities for contractors and system planners. • Plan and prepare work packages and instructions for corrective, preventive, and surveillance maintenance activities. • Conduct field walkdowns to identify, analyze, and improve maintenance and modification tasks. • Collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve work package issues. • Define required procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials; manage permits and regulatory documentation such as OOS, RWP, fire and welding permits, ALARA task outs, and Nuclear Oversight holds. • Verify that work instructions comply with CEC procedures, nuclear safeguards, ASME Code, 10 CFR 50.59, and other applicable standards, and approve packages accordingly. • Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to support package development and maintain code and vendor compliance. • Provide project management oversight for system planners or contractors during detailed package preparation. • Participate in work‑control meetings, scheduling reviews, contract requisition analyses, troubleshooting, risk assessments, peer reviews, and operating‑experience searches. • Perform additional duties such as emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and support of outage activities outside the department. • Maintain required access levels and pass a favorable medical examination in accordance with position duties.

What You Bring

Candidates must meet one of several education‑experience combinations, maintain required access and medical qualifications, and ideally have experience using AS9 for work instruction planning and at least five years in nuclear power plant operations. • Meet minimum qualification of either a bachelor’s degree with 2 years experience, a senior reactor operator license with 2 years experience, an associate’s degree with 3 years experience, or a high‑school diploma/GED with 4 years experience. • Possess experience planning work instructions using AS9 (required) and preferably five years of nuclear power plant operations experience.
