About the Role
The Technician III‑Roving role involves operating and maintaining facility mechanical and supporting systems, conducting structured inspections, and performing both preventative and corrective maintenance. The technician must follow established processes and comply with all internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection standards. Key duties include troubleshooting equipment, performing regular monitoring inspections, responding to routine and on‑demand service requests, managing the work order lifecycle, and assisting with the implementation of preventative maintenance programs. The technician also conducts facility walk‑throughs, ensures asset integrity, supports tenant satisfaction, participates in facility‑related projects, and maintains compliance with corporate and legislative policies. • Conduct structured inspections and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and other facility systems. • Troubleshoot equipment, report deficiencies, and recommend enhancements. • Manage work orders from dispatch through completion, documenting resolutions in the maintenance database. • Perform facility walk‑throughs to monitor mechanical, electrical, and other equipment for uptime and asset integrity. • Assist in implementing and refining preventative maintenance programs, escalating identified deficiencies. • Provide high‑quality service to enhance tenant and customer satisfaction. • Participate in facility‑related projects while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. • Maintain and service assigned tools, arranging repairs or replacements as needed. • Submit all expenditures promptly and adhere to required personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. • Mentor lower‑level technicians to support their development and skill growth.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma with trades training or certification, at least three years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems, and solid knowledge of building automation and HVAC systems. Additional requirements include a strong safety mindset, client‑service orientation, effective communication, mentoring ability, willingness to work shifts and be on‑call, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain appropriate security clearance. • Maintain a valid driver’s license, obtain required security clearance, and be available for on‑call or emergency call‑outs. • Demonstrate strong communication skills for data exchange, feedback, and clarification.
