About the Role

• Direct long‑range stock equipment planning to maximize return on investment. • Ensure corporate and local maintenance programs are implemented and maintained. • Collaborate with Area and Plant Managers to adopt maintenance practices that increase equipment availability and lower operating costs. • Establish and enforce preventive‑maintenance standards for all rolling‑stock assets. • Mediate vendor issues and coordinate major repairs with outside vendors. • Review cost reports to identify underperforming rolling‑stock assets. • Oversee the Oil Analysis Program, ensuring accurate data and corrective actions. • Partner with the Corporate Equipment Manager to forecast and complete capital repairs while managing financial spend. • Assist in capital replacement strategy and forecasting for rolling‑stock equipment. • Support mechanics in troubleshooting equipment issues. • Perform hands‑on maintenance and repair of rolling‑stock equipment. • Negotiate pricing with vendors. • Investigate root causes of equipment failures and implement preventive fixes. • Gather data, develop, and share best practices across the company. • Build strong relationships with dealers and partners supporting the asset fleet. • Conduct on‑site Equipment Maintenance Reviews (EMRs). • Respond promptly to equipment problem calls. • Oversee surplus and disposal asset management with local management.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred, or 8+ years of experience managing mining and construction equipment. • Experience with underground‑specific mining equipment preferred. • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to negotiate vendor pricing. • Hands‑on expertise in maintenance and repair of rolling‑stock equipment. • Capability to assist mechanics with equipment troubleshooting.
