About the Role

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including cash flow forecasts, project budgeting, and margin analysis. • Validate reconciliations and other deliverables for accuracy and timeliness. • Lead project accounting activities such as billing, accounts receivable, collections, and margin monitoring. • Oversee accounts payable and equipment accounting functions to ensure accurate costing. • Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain accurate project data and support timely reforecasting. • Manage and develop direct reports, providing coaching, performance feedback, and promoting cross‑training. • Uphold internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards; assist with year‑end audit preparation and liaison with auditors. • Identify and implement process improvements across accounting functions. • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and related‑entity accounting.

What You Bring

The Accounting Manager supports the Controller in daily accounting operations, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, equipment and project accounting, job costing, and monthly financial reporting, requiring strong organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and comfort working in a deadline‑driven environment. Physical demands include prolonged sitting or standing at a workstation and manual dexterity for computer use; occasional overtime may be required during peak periods. • Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience; construction or project‑based experience is an asset. • Prior people‑management experience required. • CPA designation is a strong asset. • Experience with ERP systems and multi‑company environments preferred. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. • Clear and professional communication skills with a high degree of discretion.
