About the Role

We are seeking a Construction Inspector to provide on‑site construction management for the Construct In‑Transit Munitions Facility in Dover, Delaware. The role involves full‑time quality‑assurance inspection, continuous surveillance, and the preparation of draft responses to contractor submittals for government use. Key duties include reviewing and drafting responses to Requests for Information, ensuring information accuracy based on site conditions, performing independent walk‑downs and inspections, conducting quantity surveys, and offering technical direction to drafting and surveying staff. • Perform on‑site quality assurance construction inspections and continuous surveillance of the In‑Transit Munitions Facility. • Review and draft Government responses to contractor RFIs, shop drawings, product data, testing data, and schedules. • Conduct walk‑downs, inspections, and quantity surveys to ensure conformance with specifications and design. • Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors as needed. • Use Microsoft Office and RMS; perform payment inspections and validate progress against AF IMT 3065 forms.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma, at least ten years of construction experience—including three years of DoD quality‑control management—U.S. citizenship, and the ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor environments with required personal protective equipment. Preferred candidates hold a civil engineering degree, possess recent accredited quality‑control management training, have CQM certification, and are knowledgeable of the USACE three‑phase inspection process, EM 385‑1 safety requirements, and payment inspection procedures using AF IMT 3065 forms. • Minimum: High school diploma, 10 + years construction experience (including 3 years DoD QC management), U.S. citizenship. • Physical demands: ability to work indoors/outdoors on uneven terrain, lift up to 25 lb (occasionally >25 lb), use fall protection, PPE. • Preferred: Civil Engineering degree, 3 years DoD QC management, recent accredited QC Management course, CQM certification, knowledge of USACE three‑phase inspection and EM 385‑1 safety.
