About the Role

In the Production Associate Welder role, you will set up and perform metal joining and cutting operations on ferrous and nonferrous metals such as steel, aluminum, and cast metals, using a variety of welding equipment. Maintain expected progress of jobs in your area of assignment and communicate concerns appropriately. Work from manufacturing information, sketches, drawings, oral or written instructions, or prototypes. Weld parts using proper machine settings, rod or wire, and gas selections, and fabricate fixtures to aid the welding process. Manually locate details on complex assemblies in the welding sequence for a variety of non‑repetitive structural fabrications, with or without fixtures. Be responsible for quality, including measuring finished parts with tape measures or calipers, visual inspections of material, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. Follow detailed instructions to ensure precise work and maintain structural integrity. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with welding equipment. Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of the welding process. • Set up and perform welding and cutting on ferrous and nonferrous metals using various equipment. • Follow manufacturing drawings, sketches, or prototypes to fabricate parts and fixtures. • Ensure quality by measuring finished parts, inspecting materials, and identifying nonconformities. • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot welding equipment issues. • Maintain safety standards, use PPE, and adhere to 5S housekeeping practices.

What You Bring

A high school diploma or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Must have a welding certification in MIG or basic welding (e.g., Piedmont Technical College Basic Welding Certificate). Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication, including standard punch and bend tooling and processes, is required. Experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams, or operating instructions, as well as using measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers, is preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems including DMM and AS‑400 is also desired. Position criteria include strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills. Work effectively with individuals and groups to participate within a team environment. • Hold a high school diploma or bachelor's degree and a MIG or basic welding certification. • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and reside within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC (military exempt). • Possess experience with sheet metal fabrication, blueprint reading, measuring tools, and ERP systems (DMM, AS-400). • Demonstrate strong communication, persuasive, and analytical problem‑solving skills in a team environment.
