About the Role
The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. This includes routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using appropriate tools and techniques. • Diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile equipment for safe operation. • Perform routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and preventive maintenance. • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using proper tools. • Document maintenance work accurately and communicate equipment status to supervisors. • Follow safety procedures and proactively identify equipment issues. • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams, and technical information.

Effective communication and teamwork skills are required in a fast‑paced environment, and the ability to work outdoors and in shop settings while adapting to changing operational needs is essential. Employment is contingent upon a post‑offer physical examination, drug screening, background check, and, for some positions, FMCSA‑regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. The role operates primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and quality workmanship. • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. • Adapt to outdoor and shop work conditions and changing operational needs. • Meet pre‑employment physical, drug screen, background check, and FMCSA testing requirements.
