About the Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Field Manager to join Downer’s Telco Operations team, based in Nelson, with responsibility for the Upper South Island region, including Canterbury, West Coast and Tasman. In this role, you’ll provide senior leadership across fixed line, mobile and wireless telco work streams, leading a team of Field Managers and business leaders to deliver strong productivity, Zero Harm and quality outcomes. You’ll focus on building a high‑performing regional team — developing capability, driving engagement, and embedding Downer’s values and culture. Working closely with key stakeholders, you’ll support regional delivery strategies, continuous improvement initiatives and future growth, while maintaining a strong commercial and customer focus. • Lead fixed line, mobile and wireless telco work streams across the Upper South Island. • Manage and develop a team of Field Managers and regional business leaders. • Drive productivity, Zero Harm and quality outcomes while focusing on commercial and customer results. • Build a high‑performing regional team through capability development and engagement. • Translate strategy into operational execution and support continuous improvement initiatives.
