About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst leads day‑to‑day management and control of operations & maintenance (O&M) and capital costs, supporting accurate planning, reporting, and analysis across the fleet. The role handles increased scope and complexity, including special projects, and must respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders to inform executive decision‑making. The Financial Analyst actively participates in accurate planning, reporting, and analysis functions and fulfills ad hoc requests to support decision‑making for directors, department heads, and line personnel. Key duties for the Senior Financial Analyst include providing financial analysis and reporting on major capital and O&M cost drivers, forecasting performance, and preparing month‑end, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for executives and corporate centers. The role leads monthly financial closes, ensures proper accounting treatment, develops long‑range financial plans, reviews capital project proposals, monitors project spend, and oversees junior analysts. The Financial Analyst prepares month‑end, quarterly, and annual forecast reports, assembles reporting packages for executives and the Board, and assists with budgeting, long‑range planning, and ad‑hoc data requests. What You Bring
Minimum qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst include a four‑year business‑related degree, five to eight years of finance or business‑operations experience, strong financial analysis, written and verbal communication skills, and solid computer‑based analytical abilities (e.g., Excel, Access). Preferred qualifications are an MBA or CPA and expertise in PeopleSoft or similar financial systems. The Financial Analyst requires a four‑year degree in a financial field and two to five years of relevant experience, with analytical understanding of finance and accounting, effective written communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Preferred qualifications also include an MBA or CPA. • Minimum qualifications: 4‑year degree in business/finance; 5‑8 years experience (senior) or 2‑5 years (analyst); strong analytical, communication, and computer skills. • Preferred qualifications: MBA or CPA; expertise in PeopleSoft and financial systems.
