About the Role
Superintendents oversee field operations, schedule compliance, and labor budget outcomes for construction projects. Safety is a core value, and Superintendents are expected to promote and exemplify safe work practices while directing all field personnel and subcontractors toward successful project completion. They also maintain positive relationships with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors. The role requires planning and scheduling projects, developing manpower plans, and managing budgets based on estimates. Superintendents control job progress by coordinating subcontractors, resolving issues, and applying quality and safety controls. They monitor labor, material, and equipment costs weekly to protect profitability while maximizing client satisfaction. In addition to project oversight, Superintendents lead people management efforts by ensuring client needs are met, fostering teamwork, and mentoring other supervisors. They promote a safety‑first culture and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. • Plan and schedule projects, including short‑interval schedules, and develop manpower and budget plans. • Manage subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and enforce quality and safety controls on‑site. • Monitor weekly labor, material, and equipment costs to maintain profitability and client satisfaction. • Ensure client needs are met, provide leadership, mentor staff, and promote a safety‑first culture. • Represent Pepper Construction to clients, architects, and engineers to drive business development.

What You Bring
Business development is also part of the position; Superintendents represent the company to clients, architects, and engineers to earn respect and generate new work. Candidates must have at least eight years of field supervision experience, preferably in K‑12, higher‑education, industrial, or healthcare markets, and possess strong relationship‑building, communication, and technology skills.
