About the Role

• Manage cost control for multi‑phase data‑centre construction, including cost plans, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts. • Monitor cost performance, track actuals versus forecasts, maintain historical cost data and report variances. • Review and validate change orders and payment applications for compliance and justification. • Support procurement activities such as bid analysis, vendor pre‑qualification, contractor negotiations and bid‑leveling documentation. • Prepare and present cost reports, executive dashboards, monthly progress updates and client presentations. • Track contingencies, commitments and cost impacts; contribute to value‑engineering and design optimisation initiatives. • Support risk analysis, maintain commercial risk registers and develop mitigation plans. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, build stakeholder relationships and participate in governance meetings. • Implement and improve cost‑management tools, templates and reporting standards, ensuring compliance with internal systems and regulations. • Manage final accounting, post‑contract audits, lessons‑learned reviews and continuous‑improvement documentation. • Adhere to SOX control requirements where applicable.

What You Bring

The company is seeking an experienced Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to act as the day‑to‑day client interface on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre programme. The role requires delivering cost‑management services that keep the project on time, within budget and to high standards, while providing strong governance, commercial rigour and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate thrives in a client‑facing environment, communicates clearly, works both independently and collaboratively, and embodies Turner & Townsend’s purpose, values and vision. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field; graduate degree preferred. • 3–6 years of cost management or project‑controls experience in construction, preferably on data‑centre or high‑tech projects. • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred. • Strong knowledge of cost‑management processes, including change‑order review, pay‑application validation, cash‑flow forecasting and reporting. • Familiarity with procurement strategies, commercial contract management and value‑engineering. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is a plus. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications; MEP knowledge beneficial. • Proficiency in cost‑management software and advanced Excel/data‑analysis skills. • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management abilities in fast‑paced environments.
