About the Role
The Superintendent role is responsible for coordinating on‑site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed ahead of schedule, within budget, and to specifications. Duties vary by client and project size, encompassing a range of supervisory functions. • Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures • Coordinate and delegate site activities of foreman and field personnel to achieve deadlines and production goals • Coordinate activities of one or more sub‑contractor • Work with client to keep the project on schedule and under budget • Ensure timely delivery of materials, confirm no damage and verify quantities • Responsible for receipt of all deliveries • Document all damage to materials on packing slips or photograph if necessary • Document any change order request from client • Monitor paper flow to ensure documents are complete, legible and filed or distributed appropriately • Plan ahead and order necessary materials or equipment to maintain crew productivity • Maintain thorough working knowledge of specifications and their impact on quality and production • Investigate and resolve contract disputes, recommending actions to upper management • Recommend best‑practice improvements for production, performance, quality and safety • Perform minor job layout with levels, transit and string line • Check quality of completed work • Monitor productivity reports and corresponding payroll records • Work with supervisor to handle customer complaints immediately • Ensure proper safety equipment is available and used correctly • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business • Facilitate technical and safety training and send employees to appropriate training schools as needed • Assist Human Resources with interviewing, hiring, training recommendations, performance appraisals and employee complaints in the field • Manage, lead direct reports, and mentor • Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors while on‑site • Set a personal example of safe behavior • Write routine reports and correspondence • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees • Perform calculations involving discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume • Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions • Maintain in‑depth relationships with team members and supervisor • Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical labor in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions • Use arms, hands and legs fully; push, pull and frequently lift/carry objects up to 50 lb; stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl and climb as required • Maintain stamina to perform tasks repetitively for several hour intervals • Operate in uncontrolled environmental conditions with weather changes and site variables • Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas • Work at heights complying with safety and fall‑protection requirements • Evaluate information based on measurable standards and discern subtle differences in shapes and shadings • Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings • Coordinate use of eyes, hands and feet

The position is full‑time, typically 50 hours per week, with schedules driven by project needs. Candidates must complete pre‑employment screening and the company upholds equal‑opportunity policies, prohibiting discrimination and harassment while providing accommodations for the hiring process. • Understand specifications, blueprints, addendums and change orders • Recognize changes to work plan and track accordingly • Minimum five years’ experience in a supervisory role in heavy industrial construction • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project‑specific regulations • Considerable knowledge of construction tools, machinery, methods and procedures • Ability to forecast and monitor project costs • Understanding of construction methods, scheduling and blueprint reading • Demonstrate leadership, motivate workers and communicate effectively with teams, project managers and clients • Proficient with Microsoft Office, email and internet • Ability to work well under pressure and meet timelines • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals • Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form • Exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, odors and loud noises • Wear required personal protective equipment (safety‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.) • Maintain good balance and vision, and hearing (with or without correction)

Benefits
This is a travel‑intensive position, allowing candidates to be based anywhere in the United States. Projects typically last 8–18 months, with up to 90 % travel, per‑diem allowances, mobilization support, and one longer weekend every four weeks.
