About the Role
The Construction Project Engineer will coordinate all construction and administrative aspects of bid packages, organizing complex information into a management system that tracks vendor compliance and aligns with the project schedule. Key responsibilities include maintaining procedures for shop drawing and sample submissions, managing engineering files for subcontract and bid packages, expediting vendor estimates, preparing change orders, and supporting the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Project Accountant with requisitions and payments. The role also involves preparing as‑built packages and O&M manuals, initiating and tracking jobsite purchases, monitoring rental equipment, ensuring permit compliance, collating punch lists, tracking RFIs and ASIs, and maintaining safety records. • Coordinate construction and administrative requirements of bid packages, ensuring vendor compliance and schedule alignment. • Maintain procedures for submittal, review, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, and related documents. • Manage project engineering files, including plans, specifications, change orders, and as‑built records. • Expedite vendor estimates and prepare company estimates for owner‑submitted change proposals. • Prepare subcontractor change orders and collaborate with the Project Manager on requisitions and payments. • Compile as‑built packages and operation & maintenance manuals for project close‑out. • Initiate, track, and reconcile jobsite purchases and rental equipment to control costs. • Ensure all required construction permits are obtained and remain compliant throughout the project. • Collate punch lists, distribute them to subcontractors, and follow up on resolution. • Track and distribute RFIs, ASIs, and other project communications while maintaining safety records.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and have 3–5 years of relevant experience. Required skills include clear written and verbal communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic arithmetic for estimating, strong interpersonal abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline. • 3–5 years of experience in construction engineering or a related field. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver presentations and write clear reports. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic arithmetic for estimating. • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
