About the Role
The role operates, inspects, and services plant equipment typically found in a nuclear power plant, requiring completion of the Equipment Operator qualification book. • Operate manually and remotely controlled plant equipment outside the central control room. • Determine equipment status using shift logs and personnel reports. • Identify and report operating problems to supervisor. • Maintain logs of unusual events and condition changes. • Provide direction and operations training to personnel. • Perform fire protection duties, including response, rescue, hazardous material incidents, first aid, and record keeping. • Support decontamination, housekeeping, painting, and other assigned tasks. • Execute assigned emergency response duties. • Complete Plant Access Training, Radiation Safety Training, respirator qualifications, and maintain unescorted access.

What You Bring
• Complete Equipment Operator qualification book. • Meet ANSI standards and read basic diagrams and prints. • Pass NRC license physical examination and be physically capable of essential functions. • Pass POSS and BMST examinations. • Comply with NRC psychological testing regulations. • Obtain fire brigade qualifications and CPR certification as needed. • Complete Radwaste Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. • 1 year technical experience in power production, petrochemical, or industrial process plants (operations, maintenance, design, training) or related HVAC/electrical maintenance roles. • 2 years experience in operations/maintenance of a non‑generating nuclear facility (e.g., Navy nuclear, DOE). • Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, or related science. • Associate of Science in engineering, engineering technology, or related science. • 43 post‑secondary credit hours with at least 75% advanced math, physics, chemistry, or engineering coursework.
