About the Role
The intern will support the engineering team by rebranding drawings and documents to meet global environmental standards such as RoHS and REACH, ensuring that compliance and performance requirements are clearly communicated on company specifications. Working closely with industrialization, hardware design, procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors, the role provides exposure to mechanical and electronic components, material selection, and environmental regulations, enhancing clarity for internal and external stakeholders. • Rebrand engineering drawings and documents to comply with RoHS and REACH standards. • Update mechanical drawings, specifications, and approved parts lists to clearly convey technical and compliance data. • Standardize environmental and performance requirements with industrialization, hardware design, procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors. • Streamline information flow to contract manufacturers and engage suppliers for material compliance documentation. • Maintain approved and disqualified surface‑treatment lists for company‑designed mechanical parts. • Analyze materials against environmental criteria with the Product HSE/ECO Design Manager and produce compliance reports. • Support environmental lifecycle analysis and document processes for future interns. • Use CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, or MicroStation.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates are third‑year (or later) engineering students in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Mechatronics, Engineering Science, or Engineering Physics, with solid communication skills, knowledge of component specifications, CAD proficiency, and familiarity with RoHS, REACH, and surface‑treatment standards. • Pursue a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Mechatronics, Engineering Science, or Engineering Physics) and have completed at least three undergraduate years. • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical component specifications and electrical/electronic part characteristics. • Be familiar with RoHS, REACH, and surface‑treatment standards (MIL, ASTM). • Work independently, multitask, and collaborate across functional teams while applying critical thinking and attention to detail. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; self‑starter able to commit 40 hours/week for the full internship. • Available for a 16‑month co‑op term with additional coursework remaining; prior co‑op or internship experience is a plus.
