Job Highlights
About the Role
In this role you will collaborate with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and clients to design, test, commission, optimize, and validate electrical systems for 24×7 mission‑critical plants, pharmaceutical, healthcare, power generation, or similar environments. You will be responsible for developing functional testing plans, reviewing design documents, and ensuring that systems meet performance criteria. • Develop and coordinate functional testing of multi‑stack equipment and multi‑redundant system configurations. • Review criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other commissioning documentation. • Write and administer Commissioning Plans and Systems Manuals per Syska format. • Participate in, ensure, and oversee QA/QC processes for own work and that of others. • Assist senior commissioning engineer or project manager with project scheduling, staffing, and budgeting. • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks, including inspections and detailed reports. • Commissioning or designing large mechanical systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical, or laboratory clean rooms.

What You Bring
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience) and at least seven years of hands‑on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large electrical or mechanical systems. Additional experience in MEP field work, system selection, LEED principles, applicable codes, and familiarity with ASHRAE, BCxA, or PECI Cx procedures is preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience with large distribution systems. • Minimum 7 years of hands‑on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large electrical or mechanical systems. • 7–10 years of relevant MEP field experience. • Basic understanding of proper system selection. • Basic understanding of LEED principles applied to building designs. • Thorough understanding of applicable codes. • Experience with ASHRAE, BCxA, and/or PECI Cx and RETRO‑Cx procedures is a plus.

Work Environment
Onsite
