Design Lead (Infra - MEPF Services)

About the Role

The position leads the design M/E/P team and systems from concept stage, meeting business, statutory, legal and contractual requirements for government programmes. The role includes technical assurance management to ensure the contractor maintains design principles through design development and construction, and supports the client in tendering, condition surveys and handover. • Distribute and manage deliverables through direct and indirect reports. • Provide and manage design development in line with contract requirements. • Collaborate with design disciplines, client personnel, and construction teams. • Report progress to relevant stakeholders. • Participate in client meetings and design workshops as needed. • Govern direct reports' work outputs to ensure timeliness, scope, and quality. • Manage direct reports' training, appraisals, salary reviews, and career development. • Guide direct reports in managing their own teams. • Develop and coach the team in C2P, digital, and net‑zero carbon initiatives. • Support bidding efforts with the wider team when required. • Identify and implement business improvement directives. • Implement training plans for the teams. • Lead business improvement working groups to achieve outcomes. • Collaborate on net‑zero carbon transition and manage associated emissions reductions.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. • Experience on projects of a similar nature.
